The Back 2 Eden farm is looking great

After a very lovely summer and fall with plenty of rain and sunshine the grasses and weeds were taking over.  The 3 guys who live offsite couldn’t come to work during level 5 of our lockdown.  Now that we’re in level 4, soon to be level 3, the orchards are looking very nice indeed.  We’ve had jackfruit, plantains, peanut butter and jelly fruit, and strawberry tree fruit from the orchards, and beans, cassava, spinach, okra, and taro root plus more from the veggie gardens.  These all are from CAR and beyond, and Roy is trying to see what does well here and what people like.  Thank you for praying for Back 2 Eden, that it will be a farm for sharing the good news about the Lord’s grace and his loving provision.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
