Finishing up, for awhile, in South Africa

Bless his heart, Sam continued to use Saturday free time to complete finishing touches on our house right before they left for the states. The house is fine to live in, as is, but there are still plenty of things to take care of, still, when we return at the end of the year.

Sam, Anna, Elaina, and Sawyer left for a 6 month time in the U.S. We’ll meet up with them in California and visit family and friends there for a couple of weeks before we head for Indiana and they head for Iowa.  We’ll head back to Africa on August 30th, and make a decision then if we can go back to Gamboula or head for South Africa again.  Please pray for CAR, for peace and forgiveness to rule.  Thank you for praying for all our travels as well.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
