Bible stories at H’s

Today I went solo to H’s house for bible stories, without my buddy Jan, as she is busy hosting her son and family for Easter break.  I had a delightful time with H and A; M, who is a regular at our story times, wasn’t there as she is helping out family in another town.  Because it was just the 2 ladies, a swarm of kids piled into H’s little one room home to listen.  I did a review of the main stories of the old testament, with an emphasis on God’s great love for us and how his plan for salvation is woven throughout these bible stories, with life examples time after time, beginning with Adam & Eve.  There were plenty of fill-in helpful comments from H, A, and even one of the kids.  It was a sweet reunion for me, to be back with dear friends.  Next week we start stories from the new testament.  Please pray for open ears and open hearts!

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
