Good news from C.A.R.

We have continuing reports that our M friends are beginning to cross the border for medical help.  This is such an encouragement to us, that there is hope.  Please pray that the home villages of these, who were mercilessly chased out back in January 2014, would welcome them back and return homes and belongings to rightful owners.blog Fulani back

Our colleagues there at Gamboula have had many conversations, on both sides of the river, and there seems to be a desire, even on the part of Chief T’s clan, to return to CAR.

We have had news that President Toudéra has again asked for missionary colleagues to come pray with him.  What better news than that, that a man would seek God, in order to lead his people well?

We are excited about our return, the first week of June.  We look forward to sweet reunions, to be able to be with our friends, to hope and pray together for a bright future.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
