New friends at Kribi

blog AndreaBernhard

Who’da thunk we’d meet these 2 dear people at Kribi and end up friends so quickly?  Andrea and Bernhard from Germany showed up in a room next to us at the beach at Kribi, having arrived on motorbike after travelling in Cameroon a bit (over some pretty rough roads) with her son, Steven.  Steven is biking around Africa for a couple of years, and this was their opportunity to connect with him for a short time. They are sweet and gentle and fun to be with.  They are fellow believers and obviously open to adventure, and get this, they just happened to want to sell their brand new motorcycle.  How could we pass up the chance to get such a decent bike for our colleague in Fulani ministry? God is good, he gives us the gift of joy in fellowship, wherever we find ourselves.  God is good, all the time.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
