Oh them lions they can eat your body but …

they can’t swallow your soul, no, no, no… while in Lesotho over Christmas, we had some fun adventures with our kids and grandkids, along with Dave & Cindy Lux, Anna’s parents.  We handled live lions and we were thankful to have been with Sam & Anna and hopefully to have been encouragers for them against the other kind of lions prowling around, challenging them in their lives.  Here are the parents’/grandparents’ first encounters with the cubs:blog seas10 blog seas11

and here are the kids and grandkids, showing us how it’s done!:

blog seas5If you think of Sam, Anna, Elaina, and Sawyer, say a prayer for them, that they would be a blessing to each one that they come in contact with, that the Lord would give them strength for each new encounter, that they would be brave as lions but tender and whimsical as cubs.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
