April prayer requests

Dear friends and family,

We are so thankful for a great time at our Covenant fellowship this past week. It was the perfect combination of teaching and worship and fun and business. All the travels have gone well.

We are thankful also for the completion of the paperwork in the capital for CEFA. Now it is time for a board meeting and a celebration of this brand new baby NGO, April 15 & 16.

We are thankful for the start of the rainy season. It was getting serious!

Please pray for us as we begin to pack up and say our goodbyes for the time being. We’ll actually be leaving Gamboula for a year in the states starting May 12th.

Please pray for our Fulani friends and acquaintances, that God’s love would shine brightly into their hearts!

Thank you for praying, for caring, for being a part of our lives!

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
