It is back to school for our family. That looks a little different this year, but each one of us is back in class.
We now have a freshman in college (what?!) and a sophomore in high school. Both of our sons have made the transition to this new school year with such confidence, calm, and excitement.

Moving into the dorm!

Julio and I continue to teach with the Biblical Seminary of Colombia and this semester’s online courses started in July. We are both teaching two courses. I’m teaching a Human Relationships course and a Children’s ministry course for the undergraduate students. It’s been a great start to the school year so far, with fruitful discussion, shared learning and creativity in application and the production of resources that can be used in ministry settings.

Julio is teaching a World Religion’s course in the undergraduate program and is teaching a Strategies of Impact course for students in the two Master’s programs. Just two weeks ago, Julio was able to be with the on campus students in person, while he was visiting Colombia. He enjoyed time sharing a meal and classroom discussion with students in the World Religions course. He was also able to spend time in person with some of the people in the Master’s course.

We are finding our rhythm as we step into this new season of classes and transition with only three of us at home. We’re grateful for the opportunity our boys have to engage in learning that challenges them. And we’re grateful that we can use our gifts and passions to serve pastors and leaders in Colombia through our courses.
