After 4 months of travel, we are settling back into life in Medellin. We are grateful for the couple who stayed in the house to take care of it and our cat. It was a happy reunion with Babu, the cat.
It was so good to unpack and be in our beds again. We figured out that we had slept in more than 20 beds during our time away. We have so many special memories of the homes and places we stayed in. We experienced gracious hospitality everywhere we went.
We are slowly getting back into a routine, with the boys starting back up at school after working on school assigned projects during our travels. We are making plans for ministry events in December which include graduation celebrations for the students in the various certificate programs. We had the joy of worshipping with our local church community on Sunday and there were so many happy greetings and hugs.
It seems the life of global personnel is one of always coming and going, saying hellos and goodbyes, transitions and new rhythms. We’re thankful for God’s faithfulness through it all.
Julio will continue his research and work for the PhD here in Colombia, connecting online with his advisers and mentors. We appreciate your prayers as we lean into this new rhythm.
