It’s Christmas time! It’s a wonderful season filled with lots of celebrating. These past two weeks we’ve celebrated times of prayer and carols with our neighbors, we’ve baked Christmas cookies, we’ve enjoyed the Christmas lights, etc. This past week we had 3 different Christmas, year-end gatherings.
We met with the core group for Nueva Vida for an entire day to evaluate 2014 and plan for 2015, as well as spend some time learning about the Old Testament from an amazing seminary professor, Milton Acosta. We had a yummy lunch, a traditional soup from Bogota called Ajiaco and we spent time praying for one another.
That same night we had the privilege of hosting a gathering of youth leaders from the churches in Medellin. They have been meeting and studying a book together with Julio and Monday night we were able to celebrate their lives and ministry and pray for them.
On Tuesday we headed out of the city and spent the day at a finca (country house/cabin) with the pastors and their families from the different Covenant churches in Antioquia (the State of which Medellin is the capital). It was a great day of interacting with one another, playing games, swimming, eating way too much, exchanging gifts, etc.
December is off to a great start! What a way to celebrate a year of blessed ministry.
