31 Days of Prayer

31 Days of prayer for RFIS

 

Day 1-Pray for an outpouring of the power of the Holy Spirit. (Eph. 3:16)

Pray for a fuller manifestion of the grace and power of the Holy Spirit in the removal of all that is contrary to God’s will in our school so that we may not grieve the Holy Spirit.  May He work in mightier power for the exalting of Christ in our lives.

Day 2-Pray for a Spirit of Supplication(one that cries out to God in prayer) Zech. 12:10

Ask God to give us a desire to pray and the discipline to follow through on it.  May we be led by His Spirit to pray for what we ought while resting in the confidence that He is interceding for us according to God’s will.

Day 3-Ask God to teach us to pray (Luke 11:1)

Thank God that His Spirit prays in us and that Jesus is interceding for us already at the right hand of the Father.  Ask Him to teach you and to pray through you by His Spirit.

Day 4-Pray for the Spirit of Holiness to purify us (1 Thess. 3:13)

Ask God to grant us deeper conviction of sin leading to repentance.

Day 5-Pray for love  (John 17:26)

Ask God to help us grow and increase in our love for God and others.  May we become better at receiving love from God and letting it flow to others.

Day 6-Pray for those who are struggling with sickness or injury. (Ps. 103:3-5)

May they come to know Christ more deeply through their struggles and receive comfort and healing from Him.

Day 7-Pray for those who don’t yet know Jesus (John 3:!6)

May God’s Spirit move in their lives, showing them their great need and God’s love for them in sending Jesus to die for their sins.

Day 8- Pray for faith (Luke 17:5-6)

Ask God to increase our faith.  May we grow in trusting Him in every circumstance and pray His promises in faith that He hears us.

 

 

Day 9-Pray that Christians at RFIS would not love the things of the world. (1 John 2:15-17)

Ask God to reveal any worldliness in Christians’ lives and sanctify us.

 

Day 10-Pray that our speech would be seasoned with grace (Col. 4:6)

Ask God to cleanse our lips from all complaining, gossip, backbiting or anything else that does not glorify His name.

Day 11-Pray for our worship team (Zech 10:12)

Ask God to bless them for serving in this capacity.  Pray that each would grow in his/her own walk with the Lord and that God will multiply their time that they may be able to complete all school work in addition to other responsibilites. 

Day 12-Pray for joy (Hab. 3:17-18)

Ask God to give us His joy. May we delight ourselves in Him and find that in so doing we can have joy in every circumstance.

Day 13-Pray for grateful hearts (Ps. 100:1-5)

Ask God to help us look at the many blessings in our lives instead of focusing on negative things.  May we remember to thank Him continually instead of taking His grace for granted.

Day 14-Pray for wisdom (Col 1:9)

Ask God that we may all grow in spiritual wisdom and understanding, learning how to discern His will.

Day 15-Pray for those who are feeling depressed or discouraged (Ps. 42:11)

Ask God to help them look up to Him.  Pray that God will use you or others to come alongside people as encouragers.

Day 16-Pray for Christians at our school to be salt and light. (Matt. 5:14-16)

May we be a testimony to those in the school who don’t know Christ, to the neighborhood around us and in our churches and neighborhoods.

Day 17-Pray that we will be strong in the Lord’s mighty power. (2 Tim. 2:1)

Ask God to help us look to Him alone for strength and not depend on ourselves.

 

Day 18-Pray for the school administration  (Heb. 13:7)

May they depend wholly on God’s guidance and to be of one heart and mind.  Ask God to give them a special blessing!

Day 19-Pray for our openings and chapels (1 Peter 4:10-11)

Ask God to anoint the speakers and worship team.  Pray that He will pour out His Spirit on our times of corporate worship. 

 

Day 20-Pray for classes (Prov. 8:10-11)

Ask God to give teachers creativity and wisdom in planning and teaching.  Pray that God will help students be open to learning and will respect their teachers

Day 21-Pray for our sports teams  (Col. 3:12-14)

Pray for safety and good teamwork.  Ask God to grow each member of each team in discipline ,self-control, consideration for others and humility. May we be a testimony in our matches with other teams by our attitudes and actions. 

Day 22-Pray for peace (John 14:27)

Ask God to help us learn to pray about everything instead of worrying.  Also, ask God to bring reconcilation to any broken or strained relationships.

Day 23-Pray for openness /transparency (Ps.71:8)

Ask God to break down any pride that might keep us from testifying to one another about what He is doing in our lives or sharing our struggles.  Also, pray that God will help those who are struggling to share with someone who can pray with and help them.

Day 24-Pray for students who struggle academically (Js. 1:2-4)

Ask God to encourage them,open their minds to understand and give them great perseverance.  Pray also that others will be willing to come alongside them to encourage and help.

Day 25-Pray for God to raise up laborers (Matt. 9:38, Phil. 4:19)

Pray that God will provide for staff who are still raising support for this year. Aslo, ask God to be calling staff here for next year and providing for all their needs.

Day 26-Pray for unsaved family members of RFIS students (Acts 16:31)

Ask God that they might understand their need, believe on the Lord Jesus, and be saved.

 

Day 27-Pray for opportunities for outreach  (Acts 1:8)

Ask God to bless the drama evangelism team and to provide other opportunities for outreach.

Day 28-Pray for Christians to abide in Christ (John 15)

Pray that believers would know more of an abiding life in Christ on a day by day, moment by moment basis.

 

Day 29-Pray that we would learn how better to use the full armor of God against the devils schemes. (Eph. 6:10-20)

Ask God to teach us to recognize the lies of Satan and combat them with the Sword of the Spirit, His Word.  Also ask Him to make us strong and watchful in prayer.

 

Day 30-Pray for unity (John 17:11)

Pray that as a school we would be united in one body by His Spirit.  Ask especially for unity among Christians.

Day 31-Pray as God leads you

Make sure to take time to thank Him for all the prayers He’s already answered!
