Recently M. Alfred Zondo and mechanic Blaise completed needed repairs to several small hydro-mechanical dams.
These dams and turbines harness water power and use it to power a flour mill which in turn saves village women LOTS of time because they don’t have to spend hours pounding their corn and manioc into flour.
As you can see from the images, some of the repairs were simply replacing old bearings and belts with new ones and the mill worked fine once again.
Thanks to World Hope Canada, their representative Sheldon Gilmer and the CEUM staff for taking on this project.
