Fortified with chocolate, Roy plowed through all of Dad’s slides
One of the tasks we need to accomplish while in California is to digitize Mom’s years and years of artwork and photo albums, loose family photos including some dating back to the 1800’s, and Dad’s slides. Roy’s guessing that he went through about 10,000 slides, ending up with about 700 to copy – I’m pretty amazed that he didn’t end up with more! All this we aim to get onto a google shared album for the whole family to enjoy. As we go through these treasures, we are delighted over and over with memories and touched with awe at the gift of artistic talent that runs through both sides of the family. We already have Grandpa Chet’s etchings copied onto our computers, but we discovered one none of us had ever seen before. It has been fun to walk down memory lane, to rediscover our precious family history.
