With the advent of Covid19, we faced the problem of needing masks though there were and still are none to be purchased locally. We decided to sew some ourselves, following the pattern developed by our farm buddies Lynn and Gary. Gary is the director of a uniform factory and now has contracts to sew masks such as these. There is a pocket for a special filter material, and one is meant to boil the whole mask after a day’s contact with the outside world. Now we have a bit of protection when we go out for groceries or meds. Our hope and prayer is that this virus would slow to a stop, that those who mourn the loss of loved ones would find peace, that those battling right now would be healed, and that the rest of us would be protected.
