Walking along the path down to our house from Sam n Anna’s, I almost stepped on this adder.
It slithered off into the grass before we could remove it from the area. There are definitely varying ideas around here about how and where to remove it to; some just pick up the snake with a long stick and walk it a short distance away from peopled areas, some choose to pulverize it to death and then walk it a short distance away from peopled areas. When the snake is venomous, I am in the send it to snake heaven group. When it is harmless, I don’t mind, like with this common brown snake, seeing it stay alive and hopefully staying away from us.
