Elizabeth

The view from Elizabeth’s hotel

We had some sad news recently, our friend, Elizabeth Osih died as a result of a car crash.  Her 9-year-old son survived the accident, and the driver who deserted the scene and left her for dead, is now in jail.  She ran the hotel on the Atlantic Ocean coast that has hosted our Covenant missionary fellowship for all the years we have had missionary presence in Cameroon.  She and her mom, who is now retired and living in Switzerland, have been dear friends for years.  She was sweet and warm, the perfect welcoming hostess, and the staff at the hotel were as family to her.  They are devastated, grieving along with all her family and friends.  Please pray for them as they walk through the sorrow and even as plans are made for the future of the hotel and its many employees.  Peace to her memory.

Note; I am so sorry I don’t even have one photo of Elizabeth, she was beautiful inside and out.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
