Roy and I, plus 3 reps, Sim, Jess, & Nicoline, from Genesis Hope (the community outreach org that our family works with in S. Africa) went for a visit to one of Zimele Wethu’s communities. Led by Audrey Matimelo, Zimele Wethu is all about creating self-sustaining communities, and the group of women we met with that day are fulfilling that vision. 
We found that they meet in small groups regularly, and then send reps to their “cluster group” which we attended. There they are held accountable for their projects and shared funds.
This particular group has many projects going on, but they consider it of great importance to take the time to make sure there are visits to the sick to encourage the families.
Their projects include, but are not at all limited to: raising poultry
growing vegetables and fruits
and even running a decorating service and catering meals for special events.We were inspired by the commitment and growth within this incredible ministry.
