Don’t go changing our address in your files, it’s still the same, at least as snailmail and email go, but we have moved out to our new home at the CEFA farm! Thanks to help from many – here are a few of those who made our house a wonderful and cozy place to be:
Yaouba, who made all the curtains and cushion covers, sitting at the hospital sewing machine, listening to the new testament being read on the Proclaimer in the window.
Hilaire, the carpenter, and Roy for touch-ups, have worked on the cupboards and all the furniture and woodwork
Antonio has planted and taken care of flowers and veggies
Serge, Kim Cone, and Roy have worked on the plumbing – this is our hot water heater: we build a fire in the brazier on the shelf under the little black barrel, and voila, hot water for dishes, warm water for our showers!
We are so very thankful for this wonderful place to live, and you probably can understand this, feel guilt at being so comfortable when our friends are fleeing. We hope to use it to be a welcoming place, a home where God’s light shines.
Here’s our new living room, complete with an African style recliner. It is, like its stateside counterpart, called a “lazy” chair. Imagine Roy, in the evening, eating sunflower seeds and watching sports (not live, but recorded, but sports all the same)!
