December prayer requests

Dear Praying Friends and Family,

Thank you for keeping us in your hearts and prayers!

Aleta & Lori’s prayer rounds are going well, though busy days have kept us from going the 3 times/week we continue to hope for. The reactions to prayer are encouraging and varied. We’ve had a mom come hurrying up to us to ask for more prayer because her son got better, and we’ve had so many smiles and thanks and good though short visits with different ones. Please continue to pray for connections, relationships, and most of all for God’s loving grace to touch hearts.

Our Fulani team meeting went pretty well and we made some plans, but we still would appreciate prayer that the Lord would lead and give us wisdom about next steps.

The CEFA (ag project) board meeting will take place the first week of December, please pray for good travel connections for the president of the board, who will come from the capital, specifically for the meeting, and for the meeting to go well, blessed with God’s leading presence.

Please pray for our relationships with local government officials, that there would be peace and good and just interactions. Sometimes it is just not as easy as we would like.

There are 2 more containers, filled with medical supplies, etc., about ready to hit the high seas in the first week of December. Please pray that all the paperwork would go smoothly.

We have lots of company and therefore lots of joyful celebration planned over the holidays, and we are thankful to be in a place to host friends as we celebrate Jesus’ birth!

Hugs and blessings,
Roy & Aleta

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
