February prayer requests

Dear friends & family,

Thank you for taking the time to read this and pray with us and for us!

Please join us in thanking God for:

We are so very thankful for a good trip for Aleta to the states and back, for her father’s death. Good travels, good family time, with sons Sam & Josh able to to come to California as well. All the immediate kids and grandkids were able to be there. A heartfelt thanks goes to all of you who have sent cards and emails of sympathy.

We are also very thankful for our son Sam’s passing all 9 of his tests for his FAA approved A&P license as an airplane mechanic.

Please join us in prayer for:

We have lots of things to take care of in preparing for our home assignment starting in mid May, like scheduling churches and making a new DVD, to name a couple.

We still await the land documents for CEFA.

Pray for softened and receptive hearts among our Fulani friends and contacts.

Our dry season has been severe thus far, we need rain.

Thank you again for your prayers!

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
