BATAVIA, IL (March 21, 2012) – A memorial service for retired Evangelical Covenant Church pastor Pembroke Taylor, 83, will be held at Batavia Covenant Church at 11 a.m. March 31. Taylor died March 13.
Taylor was born November 28, 1928, in Syracuse, New York. He married Grace Dahlstrom on August 11, 1956. She survives.
Taylor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Roosevelt University and graduated Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as a chaplain with the Light Bearers mission at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

I did a short interim in Batavia and Pem was in the congregation. Even though it had been years since we had last met, he met me with a huge grin and a big smile the first Sunday we were there. Pem was a joy to be around, a great and good person.
