And just like that, three months in the USA are over and we are settling into a new routine back in Colombia. As we walked into the house, after arriving from the airport, I had this weird feeling that we had never left. Things were how we left them and it almost felt like a dream that we had been in the States. And yet, we know it was very real as we shared so many memorable experiences with people. There was a lot of emotion felt as we said goodbye to family and friends. We all talked about the very real contrasting emotions of excitement and sadness. And we recognize the fact that those emotions are normal and we’ll continue to experience them.
After unpacking, Julio repacked for a trip to Central America where he is participating in a consultation with Latin American partners of Covenant World Relief, with other representatives from the Colombian Covenant Church. Katie and the boys worshipped on Sunday with our local church family and exchanged a lot of hugs with friends. Everyone commented on how much the boys had grown. And now today I, Katie, sit back at the computer to prepare for a class I will teach, to respond to emails, and to start to prepare for upcoming ministry. The boys have their first day at school and seemed to be truly ready to go back.
We ask for your continued prayers for our family.
We are praying for you guys and for your work and for the people you work with and minister to.
I cannot believe how the boys are changing!! They’re getting SO grown up!!
Blessings to you guys,
