Our friend HH is having heart troubles

One of Aleta’s best buddies, HH, has recently been quite ill with her heart condition.  She, along with many, many Fulani refugees, has no source of income.  Our colleague from CAR days, Kim C., was able to get some money to her with the help of a very good friend and community leader, Alaji B.  She is very weak so she sent her grandson, Awalu, to pick up the cash for herself and friends.

We are grateful for a Moneygram office in their little bush town, and for this opportunity to get her to the reliable mission hospital across the border where we used to live and work.  We hope she is receiving treatment there now as she was supposed to have traveled with her daughter, H, and 9 mos. pregnant granddaughter, J, on Sunday.  J wants to have her baby where she can get the best care possible in the region.  Please pray for healing for HH, and for a safe and healthy delivery of J’s baby.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
