Women’s group shares of God’s love on the radio

Advent Oaxaca Womans Group

On December 8th, the women’s group of Covenant leaders in the Oaxaca valley had the opportunity to share on Radio Zapoteco, a radio station that reaches up into many villages of the Zapotec region of Oaxaca.

I gave the introduction to how we celebrate Advent in our group and in the Covenant Church (many evangelical churches here don't celebrate Advent or even Christmas). The other women shared about the hope, peace, joy and love we have in Christ (the focus of each Sunday in Advent).

Afterwards, Minerva and the women from Mitla invited us to delicious chicken taquitos as we continued our discussion about the meaning of celebrating Advent and Christmas.

This was a special time for Patty Restrepo and I, as leaders of this group that we have been discipling for three years, to hear each woman reflect deeply on God’s Word and His transforming work in her life and encouraging others in God’s love for them.  Thank you for your prayers for us as missionaries and for this group of women!
