(This has been re-posted from The Danforths’ Days, Roy and Aleta Danforth are serving in Central Africa Republic)
Yesterday morning at about 5 am the thermometer read 8 degrees Celsius, which is about 46 degrees Fahrenheit. This isn’t right! We had put my cute little Mary Englebreit fridge magnet thermometer out the day before and it read 6 degrees C and thought it was malfunctioning, so we tried a different one. We are having really crazy weather! I know, I know, some of you are suffering with temps in the minuses and that’s Fahrenheit, but this is ridiculous! 40’s in the tropics! All week long! I’m wearing a sweater and socks and long pajama pants under my regular clothes til about 10 in the morning!
Roy had to dig into his trunk for sweats, and Tom had to get out his good stateside jacket!
What’s wrong with this picture? Here are Sylvie and Antonio, bundled up and feeling the cold, next to ripening bananas. What a crazy world!
