Carlos Diaz, (on the far right in the picture above) has been in leadership of the Shalom Covenant Christian Community, beginning as a worship leader and then as the Pastor for more than 20 years. This last Sunday was a farewell type celebration for Carlos and his family as Carlos is ending his paid leadership role in the Church – he is no longer the Pastor, he is no longer the worship leader. But, he and his family are staying in the Church as members. So the next few months will be an interesting transition for the Church and for Carlos and his family as they transition out of roles of pastoral leadership into roles of active community members. Hopefully the Shalom Community allows this transition to take place.
