Memorial Service Conducted for Marilyn Drotts

SOUTH DENNIS, MA (December 31, 2012) — A memorial service was conducted this morning at the Cape Cod Covenant Church for Marilyn Jean (Johnston) Drotts, 74, wife of Evangelical Covenant Church minister Lowell Drotts. She died Thursday.

Drotts was born February 10, 1938, in Hartford, Connecticut. She graduated from North Park College in 1963. She worked as a supervisor of students at the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford. She also was a substitute and children’s art teacher.

She married Lowell on October 7, 1971. The couple ministered together at Batavia Covenant Church in Batavia, Illinois; Evanston Covenant Church in Evanston, Illinois; United Methodist Church in East Greenwich, Rhode Island; Beverly Covenant Church in Chicago, Illinois; Attleboro Covenant Church in Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Covenant Village of Northbrook in Northbrook, Illinois.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Dr. Daniel Drotts and Dr. Stephen Drotts, and a daughter, Cindy Hartmann.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial donations may be made to the Cape Cod Covenant Church, P.O. Box 219, South Dennis, MA, 02660.
