CHICAGO, IL (April 2, 2009) – Grant Wacker, professor of Christian History at Duke Divinity School, will deliver the Nyvall Lectures at North Park Theological Seminary April 29.
He will present “Billy Graham’s America” at 9 a.m. and “Billy Graham’s Legacy for Christian Living” at 10:45 a.m. The lectures will be given in the Isaacson Memorial Chapel.

Wacker, who also is director of Duke’s Graduate Program in Religion, is working on a cultural biography to be called Billy Graham’s America.
The David Nyvall Lectureship was inaugurated at North Park Theological Seminary in 1951 in memory of the pioneer Swedish American educator who served the school both as teacher and president. The purpose of this lecture series, held each spring, is to stimulate interest in the interpretation of the Christian message for the contemporary world.
