Sept 21 visit Rift Valley Academy and the CURE Kijabe orthopedic pediatric hospital
Sept 22 visit the poultry project at the Kitengela Covenant Church just outside Nairobi. Meetings with the Evangelical Covenant Church of Kenya
Sept 23 fly from Nairobi to Juba, Sudan. Juba is the capital of southern Sudan. Visit with World Relief International program directors
Sept 24 fly from Juba to Malakal.
Sept 25-26 visit Evangelical Covenant Church of Sudan (ECCS) projects, begin meetings with the ECCS leadership. Topics will include the relationship between the ECC and the ECCS, relief and development, projects: proposal, management, reporting and accountability, the role of women and women ministries (by Cindy), and more
Sept 27 worship
Sept 28-29 travell by boat from Malakal up the White Nile and tributary to Bentiu with an overnight stop in Fangok
Sept 30 visit the Covenant school in Bentiu
Oct 1 fly from Bentiu to Juba
Oct 2 Juba to Nairobi
Oct 3 Nairobi to Lamu Island on the NE coast of Kenya
Oct 4 travel by boat and bus from Lamu inland to Mpeketoni early to arrive in time for worship with the Evangelical Covenant Church of Kenya (ECCK). Visit with leadership and members.
Oct 5 visit Covenant World Relief projects managed by the ECCK. Meeting with the ECCK leadership and pastors about: relief & development projects and their role in the church, project management and reporting, women’s ministries and the role of women
Oct 6 visits continue, travel back to Lamu. Visit projects on Lamu
Oct 7 visit projects on nearby Manda Island. Return to Nairobi in afternoon and fly out to the US that night.
