It’s been a long and lovely ride, going from being a young couple starting out on a big adventure to being grandparents. I still pinch myself sometimes at the wonder and joy of how our boys have grown up and no matter which side of the ocean we are, we are living next door to family. Right now we get to go to soccer games and practices, though I could have lived without hearing Josh’s bones break from across the field, I was thankful that I was there and could take the girls while Kimia took Josh to the ER. We eat and play together, spur of the moment or long time planned. We do life together. It is delightful!
AND we look forward to seeing our South Africa kids this summer! Can’t wait to see these sweet faces in person. Sam and Anna will come the end of July, with Elaina and Sawyer, to get them set up with Anna’s parents in Iowa, going to public high school, E as a junior, and S as a sophomore. When Sam and Anna return to South Africa, we will go with them and stay for 3 months, looking forward to being their next door neighbors for awhile. We are thankful for and blessed by our children and grandchildren.
