March prayer requests

Our Sankofa journey (bus trip, pairing Roy & me with African American seatmates, to historic sites of importance to the Civil Rights Movement) was deeply moving and heart breaking and eye opening and attitude changing! We are continuing the journey with reading and sharing and would encourage anyone interested to check out the possibilities of your own journeys – go to http://www.covchurch.org/justice/racial-righteousness/sankofa/
Please pray for Yougouda, a dear Fulani friend of ours, who was in the hospital at Gamboula with a skull fracture, among other things, as the result of a motorcycle accident. The family has now moved him to Yaounde in hopes of better results.  We are hoping that his prayed for recovery will open his and his family’s hearts to the Good News.
We will be in Washington state for about 2 weeks this month and would ask that you pray for journey mercies and good connections with churches, friends, and family.
Please pray for the processing of the CEFA ag project’s status as a non-profit organization in the states.
We have our tickets for returning to Africa, May 21st, so we are on the home stretch of our time in the U.S.
Josh, Lori, and almost 1 year old Charlotte Shinar are going to be on the plane to Africa with us. They visited Gamboula in 2009 and they are looking forward to ministry for 2 years there, with an emphasis on the Fulani. We are thankful for this young couple! Please pray for them, for all the details to fall into place – fund raising, packing, visas and all.
Thank you for taking the time to pray!

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
