BOULDER, CO (December 19, 2011) – Although New Day Covenant Church launched its Internet radio ministry “God’s Feeding Station” less than two months ago, it already has attracted listeners in 17 countries and 33 states, says Pastor Doug White.

Because the church can only track the audience listening through the website and not through the iTunes podcast or RSS feed, White says the number of listeners probably is larger and more spread around the globe.

The church officially launched the station on October 24. It features daily scripture reading, prayers, and devotionals that run five to eight minutes. A daily talk show is 30 minutes and focuses on Christian themes and Bible studies. Participants currently are working their way through Romans.

The ministry is just another way the church answers its call to “feed God’s sheep,” White says. For the past six years, the church has provided a weekly meal to the hungry through the New Day Kitchen and averages 100 meals a week. The church recently discerned that the call meant more than the dinners, the pastor adds.

Several Christian music artists granted the ministry permission to broadcast their music as part of our broadcast segments, Smith says. The church hopes to add music from artists around the world.
