Join Center for Youth Ministry Studies and the School of Education at North Park University for a one-day mini-conference on the issue of how the church/youth workers and education system can work together to combat the School to Prison Pipeline phenomenon.
Featuring keynote speaker Dr. Anthony Nocella III (Hamline University and Save the Kids), two breakout sessions on Effective Church/School Partnership Models (featuring Romal Tune, author of God’s Graffiti) and the Impact of 3rd & 4th Grade Testing on Prison Industrial Complex (with Dr. Becky Nelson, Dean of School of Education at North Park University, Dr. Bruce Bonecutter, Isaac Reyes Mental Health Services for Cook County Juvenile Detention, and Cliff Nellis, Lawndale Christian Legal Center), followed by a closing round table discussion.
