The Center for Youth Ministry Studies Invites You to a Webinar on Creating an Equal Seat at the Table: Bringing Youth with Differing World-Views Together in Community

Thursday, December 6 2:00 – 3:00 pm CST

Featuring Josh Higgins (Glendora Community Church, Glendora, CA), Soong-Chan Rah (North Park Theological Seminary, Chicago), and Amy Williams (Gang Intervention Specialist, Chicago)

With the world around us changing due to relocation and gentrification, youth ministries and programs have youth that are blended across multiple borders. Urban/suburban blend, rural/urban blend, blends of socio-economic status, ethnicity, and youth in the system (e.g. foster care or juvenile detention) are just a few examples. With this change can come tension from “the regulars” in your organization as the ministry adjusts to make room for youth and families that are different from what your organization is used to. This webinar will discuss ways to honor, communicate and incorporate the value in the stories of all God’s children, as well as tips and tools for being comfortably uncomfortable in the tension of blended ministry.

Tune in, join the conversation and ask questions.
