pass some of these ideas along to you!- Update your missions display – Do you have a bulletin board for missionary and mission updates? Recruit someone in your church who likes to decorate, design or do crafts to bring new life to this area. This picture is an idea for a missionary display that uses a world map glued to painting canvases and a picture frame hanger. Creative!
- Pray the way others pray – Ask your missionaries how believers pray where they serve. Do they clasp their hands? Kneel on the floor? Stand and raise their hands to God? Pray aloud in unison? Then invite the congregation to do the same posture or style the next time you pray for that area of the world during worship.
- Invite Missionaries to join the life of your church – If you are planning to have a missionary visit your church think of the various ways they can join the on-going life of your congregation in addition to, or instead of, regular Sunday scheduling. Can they speak at youth group night? Join a men’s breakfast? Share during staff meeting? Attend a home Bible study? Visit church members in a senior residence? We have heard that natural these connection points can be more beneficial for everyone involved.
