Why Pinneberg?

image

Pinneberg is a quaint little city just outside of Hamburg. It has about 50,000 residents and an adorable little downtown area. Many of its tree-lined streets provide easy access to the train to Hamburg. The ride is very short and only minutes away from Hamburg. The train is inexpensive, clean and comfortable. Because of Pinneberg’s close proximity to the city, many of its residents commute to Hamburg and spend the majority of their evenings and weekends there. Therefore, Pinneberg is largely a commuter town where many people stay to sleep but go somewhere else to “do life.” We learned that there is currently a huge need (and desire) for a new community gathering place. Helping to create such a place will be our primary area of focus.

In Pinneberg, there are a good number of churches, but most are not actively growing and meeting the spiritual needs of the community. We hope to listen to the needs of the community and use that information to create a vibrant space for fellowship in Pinneberg alongside our team of colleagues and YOU: our faithful supporters. Would you join us in prayer for the people and place of Pinneberg? We are all God’s children; the sheep of His pasture. Many are spiritually hungry and have deep longings and unanswered questions about life.
