
“We are certainly excited about being recognized on a national scale,” said Coach John Born. “It is a great testament to how the program has advanced over the years.”
Born added, “The entire team is keeping this all in the proper perspective as it is only the first week of the season. It will mean quite a bit more if we see our name among the Top 25 in November.”
The Vikings have outscored their opponents 9-2 in their first three games. They will be looking to continue the strong offensive and defensive efforts when they travel to the Seattle area this weekend for matches against Willamette University and the University of Puget Sound.
