CHICAGO, IL (August 10, 2009) – Organizers of Triennial XIII: Reflecting God’s Glory hope women will walk and pray around the world in preparation of the event.

VisorPrayerWalk 2010 (PW2010) will last until the start of Triennial. Sponsored by the Evangelical Covenant Church’s Department of Women Ministries (WM), next year’s Triennial will be held July 22-25, 2010, in Washington, D.C.

Special prayer kits are now available at the online Covenant Bookstore. The kits cost $10 and include an embroidered twill visor with the PW2010 logo, a nylon neck wallet badge holder with zippered compartment, and a brochure with prayer tips.

Participants can build their physical and spiritual strength as they walk, says Lynda Delgado (accompanying photo), chair of PW2010.

Every seven to 10 days, all registered PW2010 participants will receive an email in a downloadable design that can be easily cut to fit into the prayer pockets.

Walkers also will log their miles online. Their miles will be combined with those of other participants on the way to the goal of covering more than 25,182 miles.

Delgado also suggests two books to make prayer walking a richer experience: Daily PrayerWalk and Prayer Warrior. To purchase the books, click here.
