PORTLAND, OR (June 26, 2009) – Given the volume of daily news stories coming out of the 124th Annual Meeting currently under way, stories in the online Covenant news report do not remain very long in the top headlines area of the Covenant website home page, transitioning instead into the full news report section and news archive.

For the convenience of readers, a special Annual Meeting news page has been created where all Annual Meeting-related stories will be found. As stories rotate off the home page during the day, they will be repositioned in the special news page. To access all of the Annual Meeting news, visit the Annual Meeting link on the home page.

ModeratorTo go directly to the news page, visit Covenant Annual Meeting News.

And to see a collection of photo gallery pages housed on a special Flickr website page for the annual meeting, visit Covenant Photo Gallery.

Each of the five worship services – three evening and two morning services – are being broadcast live over the Covenant website. For more information on the times and how to access the live broadcast, visit the Covenant website and select the Annual Meeting banner link near the top of the home page.

The daily online news report and live broadcasts are being produced by a five-member on-site team that includes Don Meyer, executive minister and editor; Stan Friedman, news editor; Evy Lennard, photo manager; Joshua Havens, Media Center director; and Warren Dillaway, staff photographer for the Ashtabula (OH) Star Beacon and a member of First Covenant Church in Ashtabula.

Assisting with online coverage and working out of the Chicago offices are Steve Luce, creative director, and Ben Eash, the Covenant website manager. Heidi Griepp is assembling the daily photo gallery pages, working out of North Carolina.

Jane Swanson-Nystrom, managing editor, is writing the follow-up story that will appear in the August issue of The Covenant Companion. Greg Neumarke of the Information Technology department at Covenant Offices is providing on-site technology support. Bookstore Manager Kevin Kempe is operating the on-site Covenant Bookstore.
