Other pre-meeting activities have been under way for two days, including today’s meeting of the Covenant Ministerium (click here to see photos) and orientation for new delegates (click here to see photos). A number of Executive Board committees met Wednesday.
Although some delegates began arriving Wednesday, the bulk of them began arriving this morning in preparation for this evening’s opening worship service, which will be broadcast live over the Covenant website beginning at 7 p.m. Pacific time. Those interested in viewing the live broadcast will find instructions on the website home page. Videos of the three evening services will be linked on the special 2009 Annual Meeting news page for later viewing – downloadable or streaming video.
A new feature this year will provide closed captioning for the sermons each evening.

The Executive Board met today, beginning at 11 a.m. and scheduled to conclude later in the afternoon. Other scheduled events today include a banquet to honor retired clergy and missionaries, with a reception honoring missionaries to follow the evening service.
A five-member Covenant Communications news team is on site providing daily up-to-the-minute coverage of activities, including stories, photographs and videos. Those interested in following the deliberations, actions taken, and other events during the Friday and Saturday business sessions will find that material on the Covenant website home page as well as the special annual meeting news page, posted throughout the day as actions are finalized.
