CHIC Registrations Top the 5,000 Mark

CHICAGO, IL (June 12, 2009) – More than 5,000 people have registered so far for CHIC 2009, it was announced today.

The triennial youth event will be held on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville July 12-17. Youth and adults may still register.

Organizers also issued a reminder that all adults registering for CHIC must go through the online training.

In other CHIC news:
•    People to serve on the medical teams are still needed. Spots are available for physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, and emergency medical technicians. The team provides only first aid, so a Tennessee medical license is not required. Anyone interested in volunteering should email Sheryl Friedman.
•    Space still is available on many excursions.
•    Voting for Battle of the Bands remains open until June 30.
•    Submissions for the Short Film Contest will be received until July 1.
