WHITING, IA (May 22, 2009) – A funeral service for Virginia (Seaborg) Moberg, 88, widow of Covenant pastor D. Edward Moberg, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sloan Covenant Church in Sloan, Iowa. She died Wednesday.
Moberg was born June 29, 1920, in Braham, Minnesota. She graduated from the North Park University nursing program in 1947.
The Mobergs married June 21, 1947. He died in 1985.
The couple served churches in Kingsdale, Minnesota; Sioux City, Iowa; Odebolt, Iowa; Laramie, Wyoming; Scranton, Kansas; and Sloan, Iowa.
Survivors include four sons, Carl Moberg of Aberdeen, South Dakota; Donald Moberg of Kearney, Nebraska; Mark Moberg of Redstone, Montana; and Gary Moberg, of Sloan, Iowa; one daughter, Elaine Roberts of Humble, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Sloan church from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight, with a prayer time and sharing of memories starting at 7 p.m.
