Church member Kellie Carter Jackson will present the lecture. She is a doctoral candidate and Richard Hofstadter Faculty Fellow in the history department at Columbia University in New York City as well as a Fellow at the National Visionary Leadership Project, headed by Camille Cosby and Rene Poussaint. Carter has given numerous presentations all over the country on American Slavery, Frederick Douglass, and Emancipation Day celebrations.

Interfaith Service Focuses on Overcoming Injustice
WALTHAM, MA – The Covenant Congregational Church of
Waltham hosted an interfaith service honoring Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday evening.
In an article published in the local newspaper, Pastor Linda Williams said, “This service was conceived from the Waltham Ministerial Association to do a community event to address injustices in the community, honor Martin Luther King Jr. and carry on a sense of unity to address and hopefully overcome injustices.”
