Response to Wildfires Among November’s ‘Most-Read’

CHICAGO, IL (December 1, 2008) – One church’s response to the recent wildfires in southern California, and two pastor’s reasons for why they joined the Evangelical Covenant Church were among the most-read stories in the Covenant News Service online reports during November.

The Tea Fire that struck the area surrounding Santa Barbara destroyed the homes of several Montecito Covenant Church families and forced the church to move its Sunday service. Articles by pastors Eugene Cho and Phil Jackson that praised the Covenant’s commitment to diversity appeared in the journal Theology News & Notes.
