SANTA BARBARA, CA (November 15, 2008) – Montecito Covenant Church will conduct worship services tomorrow (Sunday) at a local country club, according to a message from Diana Trautwein, associate pastor.
“We will gather as a bruised but grateful community tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.,” she writes in an email update to prayer partners and members of the church. The service will include scripture, music, prayer, stories and communion. Two offerings will be received – one for the general budget and one for the Compassion Fund, which Trautwein says “will be heavily used in the days ahead.”

Eleven families or individuals in the church community have either lost everything or suffered severe damage, she says.
Pastor Don Johnson is in Virginia this weekend officiating at a memorial service for his wife’s mother.
