CHICAGO, IL (October 14, 2008) – Response has been overwhelming to Monday’s heart-tugging story of people in India whose lives have been devastated by flooding that has left tens of thousands homeless and forced some families to sell their children to traffickers.

Local Covenant church offices and numerous individuals have called to ask how they can respond – click here to read Monday’s account.

A new India Relief Fund has been established by Covenant World Relief to accept donations – both by check and by donating online using a credit card for those desiring a faster means of providing support.

To donate online using a credit card, click here. To donate by check, make the check payable to Covenant World Relief, earmarked for India flood relief, and mail it to Covenant World Relief, 5101 N. Francisco Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60625.
