BELLEVUE, WA (September 8, 2008) – Funeral services are pending for retired Evangelical Covenant Church pastor John Bergman, 78, who died Saturday.
Bergman was born August 2, 1930, in Helena, Montana. He was married to Nina Mason on August 25, 1953. She survives.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1953 from Seattle Pacific University and his Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
Bergman served several Covenant churches, including Valley Covenant Church in Stillman Valley, Illinois; Bethany Covenant Church in Warren, Michigan; Foothill Covenant Church in Los Altos, California; and Newport Covenant Church in Bellevue.
