CHICAGO, IL (September 4, 2008) – An article highlighting Evangelical Covenant Church connections with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her family was the most-read story in the online Covenant News Service report during August.

John McCain announced Palin as his running mate last Friday. She has attended Christmas Eve services at the Mat-Su Covenant Church in Wasilla, Alaska, and her mother was one of the first members to join the church.

Readers also showed their concern for drive-by shooting victim Terren Drake, the son of Harvey Drake, who is pastor of the Covenant congregation Emerald City Bible Fellowship in Seattle, Washington.
