During the evening, the kids also made a craft, ate s’mores and studied Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
“Children learned that just as you cannot do a tug-o-war by yourself, you should not try to do life by yourself, either,” Perry says. “We need Jesus on our team as well as other Christians to help us when times get tough.”
Of course, it’s easier to get others to help when chocolate is involved.
