GREEN LAKE, WI (June 24, 2008) – Nearly a thousand participants joined in praise and prayer as The Feast drew to a close this morning on the grounds of the Green Lake Conference Center, where the 123rd Annual Meeting was poised to shift into high gear during this evening’s opening worship service.

MattThe morning service capped a weekend of activities that began Saturday, offering a wide range of opportunities for worship, study, and just plain fun for all members of the family.

Participants literally rocked to the worship music led Monday evening by Walter Whitman, president and musical director of the much-acclaimed Soul Children of Chicago, a choral group he founded in 1981. He was supported by The Feast praise band, lead by Matt Lundgren, executive director of music at Willowcreek Community Church and a lifelong Covenanter. The accompanying photo shows Lundgren with one of the young musicians invited on stage – much to the delight of the audience. To see additional photos from this weekend’s events, visit Feast Photos.

WhitmanThis morning’s gathering enjoyed a message brought by Ed Lee, pastor of Mosaic Community Covenant Church in Missouri City, Texas. The service closed with an invitation for those needing special prayer to join in the front of the tabernacle that was specially constructed for The Feast, located in an open meadow on the conference center grounds.
